Sheriff’s promotion of civil disobedience is disheartening

My wife and I are senior citizens. We have lived in Bonner County for 48 years and have raised three children here. We never thought we would hear our own sheriff promoting civil disobedience by questioning the validity of the legal stay-at-home order. We expected it from Heather Scott as she tries to make herself seem important to her supporters.

However, this is a very dangerous act using a position of importance to advocate something that endangers all of us, every man, woman, and child! In Sheriff Wheeler’s case, instead of protecting us, he is violating his oath of office.

Sheriff Wheeler and Heather Scott are wrong. This is a true national emergency. There is no attack on the Constitution. Lives are at stake. Nobody has the right to endanger the safety and well being of another person. The actions of these two people call out in a very clear voice, “Coronavirus come get us!” Disgusting, pathetic, disheartening!
