The Pend Oreille County Master Gardeners are offering a free, live, internet class called “Gardening for Beginners”, on Thursday, April 9, 2020 from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
The class will be taught by local Master Gardeners Kamori Cattadoris and Dixie Chichester and will cover such topics as locating a garden, soil and water basics, purchasing seeds or plants, planting techniques, maintaining a garden and harvesting produce, all geared toward the beginning gardener.
Anyone with a computer or smart phone and internet access will be able to attend this free class by calling or e-mailing the Extension Office to register. Those that are registered will receive an e-mail, a day before the class, with a live “Zoom” link and directions on how to access the presentation. The internet class will be interactive so participants will be able to make comments and ask questions.
Even if participants do not have a camera and microphone on their computers, they can view the class and ask questions by typing them into a chat box.
There will be no “in-person” attendees. In order to register for the class, so you can receive the live link, please contact Beverly Sarles, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m., at 509-447-2401 or e-mail anytime to [email protected].
