Post Falls Police celebrate teen’s birthday

Devin Weeks is a third-generation North Idaho resident. She holds an associate degree in journalism from North Idaho College and a bachelor's in communication arts from Lewis-Clark State College Coeur d'Alene. Devin embarked on her journalism career at the Coeur d'Alene Press in 2013. She worked weekends for several years, covering a wide variety of events and issues throughout Kootenai County. Happy 13th birthday to Post Falls resident Kyler Miller!
Post Falls Police led a car surprise parade by the young man’s house, with horns and sirens blaring and followed by cars full of his friends and loved ones.
“It’s awesome!” Kyler exclaimed.
His mom, Julie MacArthur, had emailed PFPF to see if they would do something special for the birthday boy since he won’t be able to have a big celebration because of coronavirus restrictions.
“They had a K9 unit and everything,” she said. “It was amazing. I’m so glad they did it.”

Rabbit season is over for the Art Spirit Gallery. The popular metal bunny sculpture "Harvey" that has watched over downtown Coeur d'Alene since 2015 from its post at the south end of a Diamond parking lot adjacent to the gallery is hopping away to its new home in Arizona this weekend. It is expected to be installed at the home of John and Julie Vanderwey midweek. "It's going into a very unique situation," John Vanderwey said Friday in a phone call with The Press. "I love it. It’s so fun. We’re building our whole backyard around it."
