ADAMS COUNTY - After two days of no new reported cases, seven more Adams County residents have tested positive for the novel coronavirus as of Saturday evening, according to county officials.

Thre are now 37 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the county, with 50 tests pending results.

According to the Adams County Health Department, test results are taking longer than expected as laboratories serving Adams County in addition to other areas experience backlogs, resulting in turn around times as long as seven days.

The county may see another spike in confirmed cases as early as tomorrow, Community Health Director Karen Potts said in a statement.
