First Flathead County COVID-19 related death announced

The first related death from the COVID-19 virus has been recorded in Flathead County, the city-county health department reported Monday morning.

The person was over 65 and had underlying health conditions. No other information was released.

“We extend our heartfelt sympathies to the patient’s family and friends,” said Hillary Hanson, Flathead City-County Health Department Health Officer. “We want to remind our community about the importance of staying at home. We must work together to protect our most vulnerable neighbors.”
