Spring sports closures extended
Whitefish Pilot | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 5 years AGO
The Montana High School Association announced Thursday that all spring activities will be further suspended through April 24.
This decision was made during a conference call held by the MHSA Executive Board.
Spring activities will resume provided students can return to in-person instruction by May 4. Otherwise, these activities will be canceled.
If spring activities do resume, the practice requirement will be reduced to five practices before competition, except golf, which will still be two practices.
Postseason formats will also be adjusted accordingly with approval from the MHSA.
Spring sports and activities were suspended March 16 in response to the COVID-19 crisis in Montana.
The MHSA advises that any additional information on this matter will be provided as it is made available.
