Second death related to COVID-19 confirmed in Flathead County

The second death related to COVID-19 in Flathead County was confirmed Wednesday morning, the Flathead City-County Health Department announced.

The individual was over the age of 65 and had underlying health concerns. They were a resident of Flathead County.

“Our thoughts and sympathies go out to the family during this difficult time,” said Hillary Hanson, Flathead City-County Health Department Health Officer.

The first death of a Flathead County resident related to COVID-19 was confirmed on April 13 by the health department. The person was over the age of 65 and had underlying health conditions.

On Wednesday morning, Flathead County had 37 confirmed cases of COVID-19.

Montana had a total of 439 confirmed cases, according to the state, with more than 11,500 tests confirmed. The state has recorded 14 deaths related to the virus, and 296 people have recovered.
