Deer Park School gets grant for new bathroom, but it needs a contractor

The Deer Park School District was recently awarded a $174,000 Montana Department of Commerce grant to remodel the bathroom in its old school.

The original school building dates back to the 1800s. While the current bathroom isn’t quite that old, it is too small for the size of the school today.

Principal Dan Block said the boys’ bathroom, for example, has just one urinal and one standard toilet. The school today has about 150 students.

While the school has the grant money, it doesn’t have a contractor. Contractors interested in the project should contact the school.

The school hopes to have the work done this summer.

Interested companies should contact the school directly for more information, Block said.
