Coronavirus: No new cases reported Wednesday, second time in three days

GRANT COUNTY - No new cases of the novel coronavirus were reported Wednesday for the second time in three days, according to the Grant County Health District.

Results from twenty-three tests came back Wednesday, all of which were negative.

In total, there were 161 confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Grant County as of Wednesday evening according to the Grant County Health District.

There were also 35 probable cases and 152 tests still pending results. Sixty people had recovered enough to no longer be placed under quarantine, the health district reported last Friday in a weekly update.

Eight people sickened with the novel coronavirus are currently hospitalized.

As of Wednesday evening, Quincy had 54 confirmed cases. Moses Lake reported 33, and the Mattawa had 38 confirmed cases respectively as of Wednesday evening.

Ephrata reported 14 confirmed cases and Royal City had twelve. Warden and Soap Lake each reported four, and the Grant County portion of the Othello area had a single case. The Grand Coulee/Electric City area reported its first case Tuesday, while the Coulee City area has not had a confirmed case from their communities, according to the health district.

In addition to tests that have come back positive, 1,572 have come back negative.
