GRADS: The fondest farewell

Dear Lake City Class of 2020,

I wanted a chance to tell you all how much I am going to miss you.

I know this sounds a bit corny, but as I am writing this, I am trying not to cry.

Some of you I have known since elementary school, but most of you since starting your high school career at Lake City as a freshman.

Even though I was not your teacher, rather the Attendance/Discipline Secretary, I will miss you.

Thank you to my TAs, my regulars, and those who just came by to say “Hi” and get a piece of chocolate!

You all have had to endure quite a lot these past couple of months and I know it has not been easy.

That being said, since I will not get to see most of you before you spread your wings… I will greatly miss you.

I will leave you with a quote which my dad told me and was on my white board in the Attendance Office…

“What other people think of you is none of your business.”

MRS. KERNS
