Coronavirus: 95 cases reported over the weekend

GRANT COUNTY — There were 95 confirmed cases of the coronavirus reported in Grant County over the weekend, with new cases reported in nearly every community in the county, according to Grant County Health District.

There were 35 new cases reported in Moses Lake, 23 in the Quincy area, 16 in the Mattawa area, nine in Warden, five in Ephrata, three in Royal City, two in Soap Lake, one in the Grand Coulee area and one in the rural Grant County area near Othello, according to the health district. The county’s total is 1,343.

According to state officials, as of Saturday afternoon, 82 local residents have been hospitalized since the pandemic began. County health officials reported Monday that 12 people are currently hospitalized.
