BONNERS FERRY — The new season for Bonners Ferry High School’s cross country team begins Monday, Aug. 10, at 4 p.m. at the Kenny Mendenhall Stadium.
There will be a meeting of parents to discuss team rules; parents are strongly encouraged to attend, obtain useful information and fill all necessary forms. Following the meeting, there will be a workout ending at 7 p.m.
Beginning Aug. 11, the student-athletes will meet at the student parking lot at Bonners Ferry High School; practices will start at 7 a.m.
Every athlete is expected to show up to practice in proper attire: running shoes, shorts, layers — for morning practices when it’s cooler — and bringing their own water bottles is encouraged.
Prior to practice, an athletic physical needs to have been completed for all freshmen, juniors, and anyone new to sports.
