William Alan “Bill” James, 71, passed away at his home in Sagle, Idaho, on Wednesday, July 29, 2020.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2020, at the Lakeview Funeral Home in Sandpoint with military honors.

Bill was born on July 17, 1949, in Sandpoint to Frank and Martha (Gosage) James. He grew up and attended schools in Sandpoint. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

He was a welder at Jack Hester Exca-vation for many years in Sagle, Idaho.

Bill enjoyed riding motorcycles.

He is survived by his son, Sam James of Sandpoint; daughter Yvette James of Honolulu, Hawaii; and grandchildren, Max, Victoire, Zoë and Kaimana James.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
