This year, After God’s Heart will study the life of Moses, from Egypt to the edge of the Promised Land.

The community Bible study for women, which alternates each year between the Old and New testaments, will be studying the book of Exodus along with selected verses from Deuteronomy. Moses’ failures, his triumphs, and all the hard choices he had to make along the way will give us hope when we’ve run out of energy and are dealing with difficult people. He will help us to not be overwhelmed because we can rely God’s strength, not ours. If we are facing something frightening, Moses will help us to be better prepared to handle it, as we reacquaint ourselves with this real man.

*Moses spent his first 40 years growing up in the house of Pharaoh, thinking he was somebody. He spent his second 40 years in the solitude of the desert being taught by God, learning he was nobody,” After God’s Heart said in a press release.

“Finally, he spent his third 40 years learning what God can do with a nobody, as he was taught by trials, discouragements, tests, and by the Law, which he received from God. God’s attributes are clearly seen throughout this book as He reveals Himself to us, helping us to know Him. As we study Moses, we will also be seeing Jesus Christ.”

After God’s Heart is led by women from various churches who believe it is a blessing for them to meet together “in one accord” to study God’s inerrant Word. This women’s Bible Study has been an on-going study in the community for the last 29 years. The group encourages old and new members to join us in worship, fellowship, and Bible study. This year we will be doing everything we can to keep each of you safe in our environment if you decide to come. Any of you who are “at risk” because of age and or health issues can choose to do our study remotely. Just contact Barbara Rohland at 208-290-3729.

After God’s Heart meets on Wednesdays, 9-11 a.m., at North Summit Church, 201 N. Division Ave., in the old South Building (enter through the front on Division.) The group takes a break from Thanksgiving to New Year’s and will conclude this study in May. There is free child care for children from birth to kindergarten. Cost for the year’s materials is $15, but scholarships are available.
