Dispatchers called back a phone number involved with a 911 hangup and reportedly got a child on the phone who said someone stole her stuffed animal cat, but she didn’t see anyone take it. The child said it was on the porch and it was no longer there, then asked if she could “still call the cops even if she didn’t see the robber.” Her mother got on the phone and said the stuffed animal was missing, but there was no emergency that required Kalispell Police Department, the fire department or an ambulance.

A tall, skinny man was reportedly talking to himself, flailing his arms and going through a donation bin where he found a pair of socks and put them on. In the deep dive for socks, he supposedly “tore up the area.”

A man in an older truck allegedly followed a woman’s vehicle around town, so she drove to the police department and waited for an officer.

Someone went to the police department to report “suspicious kids” in front of a U.S. 2 business. Officers made contact with the youths, who were allegedly messing around on empty crates while waiting for a ride. Officers advised them to stay away from the crates.

A “tweaker” was allegedly screaming in a men’s bathroom in Woodland Park. The person calling in the report claimed it sounded violent. The man may have left the park because no one was in the bathroom when officers arrived.

A man sitting behind a North Main Street restaurant was reportedly arguing with and holding a crying woman who was trying to get away. The disturbance was verbal only and the pair separated.

A possibly intoxicated man stopped at a U.S. 2 business and almost fell out of his truck. When he drove away, he reportedly swerved all over the road.

Someone reported fuel stolen from their vehicle in an alley.

A woman who “seemed out of it” and intoxicated was allegedly prevented from driving out of a parking lot when someone called police from a liquor store and a man blocked her in with his vehicle. When the caller asked if she was intoxicated she reportedly did not answer, but said she was calling someone to pick her up. She also told police she was waiting for friends to pick her up.

A highly intoxicated pedestrian was counseled about having an open container.
