Fourth coronavirus death reported in Adams County

RITZVILLE — Adams County Health Department officials have announced a fourth Adams County resident has died after contracting coronavirus.
The resident, a 98-year-old woman, lived at Coventry House in Othello. Her death was announced Aug. 7 by the health department.
County health officials reported 65 new cases in Adams County during the week ending Aug. 10. That total includes 60 cases in Othello, four in Ritzville and one in Benge.
Two people with the virus were hospitalized as of Aug. 10.
As of Monday, Adams County has reported 461 people testing positive for the coronavirus since the outbreak began. Of those, 443 are in the Othello area, 10 in the Ritzville zip code, one in Washtucna, three in the Lind zip code, two in Hatton and one in Benge.
As of Aug. 10, 2,759 people have been tested for the virus and 186 test results were pending.
