Salango endorsed by West Virginia teachers' union committee

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — The West Virginia Education Association's political action committee has endorsed Democratic candidate for governor Ben Salango.

The committee made the announcement Tuesday. Salango, an attorney and Kanawha county commissioner, is running against incumbent Republican Gov. Jim Justice in November.

Salango also has been endorsed by the United Mine Workers of America, the state chapters of the AFL-CIO and the United Auto Workers union.
