Coronavirus: 62 cases in Grant County, 21 in Adams County

There were 62 new coronavirus cases reported in Grant County on Thursday, including 26 cases in the Quincy area, 21 in Moses Lake, six in Royal City, five in Warden, three in Mattawa and one in Ephrata, according to Grant County Health District.

This brings the number of cases confirmed in the county since the pandemic began to 1,688. County officials reported Thursday that 17 people with coronavirus are currently hospitalized.

In Adams County, 22 new cases were reported Thursday, including 18 in Othello and four in Ritzville. Three of the new Ritzville cases stemmed from the Adams County jail, which county health officials have reported is experiencing an outbreak.

Since mid-March, Adams County has reported a total of 484 confirmed cases of the coronavirus. As of Wednesday, state officials reported that 25 Adams County residents have been hospitalized since the pandemic began, while county officials reported Thursday that two people are currently hospitalized.
