OSBURN — The Silver Valley now has its first credit union after P1FCU celebrated its grand opening on Monday.

Located at 730 E. Mullan Ave. in the Stein’s parking lot in Osburn, the new credit union had a busy first day as they greeted members of the community who stopped by to inquire about their services, or to simply check out the giant inflatable piggy-bank that was hanging around out front.

Branch manager Dan Cox explained that P1FCU’s expansion to Osburn was an opportunity to provide much needed credit union financial services to Silver Valley area residents.

“Our goal is to enhance the financial lives of our members from all walks of life and backgrounds,” he said. “We strongly value community spirit through staff volunteering and financial support of local organizations. We are proud to be the first credit union to offer credit union services to the Silver Valley and we will bring our service-oriented environment to all the residents of Osburn and the Silver Valley.”

P1FCU has moved into the building of another bank that vacated the space last year.

Potlatch No. 1 Financial Credit Union (P1FCU) describes itself as a member owned financial cooperative and is dedicated to the residents of the areas they serve.

“P1FCU has an 82-year tradition of supporting the communities and residents in our field of membership with best of class consumer, mortgage and business lending services, along with a full suite of deposit product services and account services which bring great economic value to our members,” Cox said.

The Osburn branch hours are Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Friday from 8:30 am to 6 p.m. Their Interactive Teller Machine (ITM) is located in the vestibule and offers the opportunity for members to check a balance, withdraw cash, make deposits and make loan payments 24 hours a day. Live tellers interactions are also offered through the ITM from 8:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Saturday.

“We are proud to serve the residents of Osburn and the Silver Valley now and in the future as we become their trusted financial services provider for their financial needs,” Cox said. “We are looking forward to our role as a strong community citizen with our long history of community support and will assist when and where we can…”
