Trout Creek bridge work nears completion
Clark Fork Valley Press | Hagadone News Network | UPDATED 4 years, 7 months AGO
Construction crews have finished spot painting the steel superstructure on the Clark Fork River bridge at Trout Creek and will begin removing scaffolding under the bridge deck.
Concrete work on the driving surfaces (bridge deck) is expected to be completed this week depending on weather. Asphalt paving and guardrail installation were expected to begin this week.
Construction is expected to be completed in September.
The bridge is expected to remain open to single-lane traffic throughout August. Vehicles over 10-feet-wide must find an alternate route such as U.S. 2 or Interstate 90.
Drivers can expect traffic to be reduced to one 10-foot lane over the bridge. Traffic signals on both ends of the bridge will direct traffic and delays of up to 15 minutes are expected.
