SAGLE — A Bonner County woman who went missing near Talache on Sunday was found Thursday by a motorcyclist, according to the Bonner County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff Daryl Wheeler said in post to his department’s Facebook page that Kiana Crum, 33, was found walking in the woods on state lands overlooking Mirror Lake.
“Kiana was in the company of her dog, exhausted, dehydrated, hungry and in poor health,” Wheeler said in the post to social media.
Crum, who also uses the surnames Miller and Harris, was transported to Bonner General Health and reunited with family, Wheeler said.
Crum was last seen in the area of U.S. Forest Service Road No. 117.
“Kiana told family members and detectives that last Friday, she walked away from her parked car in the Talache/Sagle area and became lost and disoriented. The Miller family wish to express their thanks to all who helped search for Kiana these last six days and for all the continued prayers for her safe return,” Wheeler said in the Facebook post.
Friends of Crum said she often in the company of her pitbull, Tank, according to social media posts.
The locating of Crum was met with relief on Facebook.
“Incredible! Thanks for putting out the alert and for the update. Prayers answered,” Aaron Lynch said in a post.
“Wow. So glad she is OK,” wrote Angie Saunders.
Wendy Lambert called outcome “wonderful”
“Six days! If I was her family, I would have had hope, but would have been expecting a horrible outcome,” Lambert said on Facebook.
