Wilma L. Hoose

July 15, 1931 – August 19, 2020

It is with our deepest sorrow that we announce that Wilma L. Hoose, 89, passed away peacefully Aug. 19, 2020 to be with our Heavenly Father.

Wilma was born July 15, 1931, in Bruce Creek, the daughter of Renard Rose and Minnie (Ohman) Rose. Wilma attended North Central High School in Spokane. Wilma married Rodney Hoose on Dec. 24, 1948. They had eight children.

Wilma worked as a cook at Columbia Basin and McKay hospitals. She loved gardening and was an active member of The Assembly of God in Soap Lake.

In addition to her parents, Wilma was preceded in death by her seven brothers, two sisters, husband Rodney Hoose and son Roger Hoose. Surviving family members include Kathy Griffen and husband Chuck Cady of Selah, Dale and wife Pat Hoose of Marlin, Gina and husband Bill Goucher of Roy, Terry Hoose of Rock Island, Scott and wife Maryjo of Crossville, Tennessee, Susan and husband Edward Campbell of Richland, Mark Hoose of Cadiz, Kentucky, and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all who knew her.

Wilma will be interred at Valley View Memorial Park in Soap Lake. In lieu of flowers, please donate to the State of Washington Coronavirus Fund, 1011 Plum St. SE, P.O. Box 42525 Olympia, WA 98504-2525.
