Hot Springs man arrested in arson fire

A Hot Springs man was arrested and charged with felony negligent arson Wednesday afternoon in Lake County.
According to information from the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, 63-year-old Dennis D. Larson was arrested and booked into the Lake County Jail.
At about 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 26, the Hot Springs Volunteer Fire Department requested the assistance of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office due to a large fire at Wild Horse Hot Springs.
Deputies responded and provided aid to the fire department by clearing out onlookers on nearby roads who were creating challenges to firefighters attempting to put out the fire.
A subsequent investigation by deputies in coordination with Hot Springs VFD, led to the arrest of Larson.
