Glea Joan Mead, 90, passed away on Nov. 26, 2020, at the Boundary County Nursing Home in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 4, 2020, in the Porthill Cemetery,

Joan was born on April 8, 1930, in Porthill, Idaho, to Alfred and Ora (Huff) Baker. She grew up on the farm graduating from high school in Bonners ferry, Idaho.

She met and married Clyde Mead and they raised two sons, Mitch and Mark. They moved back to Bonners Ferry where they purchased 80 acres at Smith Falls on the Westside Road about three miles from the Canadian boarder.

Joan moved into the extended care facility in October 2013.

Survivors include her son, Mark Mead of Spokane, Wash.; a brother, Alva Baker of Bonners Ferry; and numerous nieces and nephews.
