SANDPOINT — Charges are piling up against an 18-year-old accused of preying sexually on underage girls in Bonner County.

Mantra Keenan Robinson is charged with one count of lewd conduct, two counts of raping an intoxicated person and two counts of statutory rape.

Robinson, an 18-year-old Newman Lake, Wash., resident, is accused of committing the crimes in the summer of 2019 and 2020. The charges are spread across three criminal cases involving three different 14-year-old girls, according to court documents.

Robinson is accused of raping one of the teens at her home and under a bridge in the vicinity of City Beach in 2019. A criminal complaint alleges the teen was unable to resist due to intoxication.

Robinson is further accused of engaging in lewd conduct with a second teen last summer by fondling her breasts and genitals on the Pend d'Oreille Bay Trail after they went swimming in Sand Creek at Cedar Street Bridge.

The third case involves a teen who told investigators Robinson tried to goad her into performing oral sex on him after swimming at Cedar Street Bridge. The pair moved on to Hickory Street Park, where they had sex after consuming drugs, according to a Sandpoint Police affidavit. The alleged misconduct occurred last summer.

Robinson, a former Bonner County resident, was ordered to stand trial in the third case following a preliminary hearing in Bonner County Magistrate Court last month. He pleaded not guilty and a jury trial is set for March.

Robinson declined to be interviewed by police and invoked his right to remain silent during the preliminary hearing.

A preliminary hearing in the other two cases is set for Dec. 16. Robinson posted a $50,000 surety bond to secure his release in one of the cases, but was ordered held in lieu of $25,000 in another case. Court records indicate he remains in custody at the Bonner County Jail.

During one of his initial court appearance via video link with the jail, Robinson confirmed with the court his address, phone number and email, with the prefix of "itainteasybeing18," according to court documents.
