How does a Walla Walla wine-tasting trip for two sound?
Or how about a round-trip train ride to Glacier National Park?
What about meals from Fleur de Sel, Mulligan's, Azteca, Bardenay or Sweet Lou's, or season passes to Live after 5, or gift cards to Zi Spa?
All of these exciting prizes are on the table from now through February as part of the Coeur d'Alene Arts and Culture Alliance's Go. Do. Experience. Raffle.
"At a time where large gatherings are just not a good idea, we expanded our raffle idea as a fun way to support the arts without going to an event," Arts and Culture Alliance executive director Ali Shute said Wednesday. "The grand prizes are fun and can be used next year, and the smaller prizes are all local and can be used whenever. This raffle gives those of us participating something to look forward to."
The trips are the grand prizes, while the smaller prizes will be given away each Friday in a live Facebook feed. Drawings will be held during the "Ali and Callie Show," hosted by Shute and Callie Cabe.
"It is a fun way to get the word out about our local arts events," Shute said. "This summer our show was on Thursdays before our concerts, and now we are doing it on Fridays at many of the businesses who have donated to our raffle as a little mini promotion, but also to add to the fun of being at different places as a backdrop."
The show starts at 2 p.m., broadcasting from Bardenay. This week they are giving away a $50 gift card to Bardenay and a $25 gift certificate to Escape Game.
All prize winners' tickets will be put back in the pot for more prizes and the grand prize giveaways. The sooner tickets are bought, the more prizes participants can win.
The nonprofit Arts and Culture Alliance is hoping to reach $25,000 to support programs such as ArtWalk, the Riverstone Summer Concert series, the Artists Studio Tour, Music for the Wise and Kids Draw Architecture.
"The prizes are great, ticket prices are reasonable and the odds of winning are good," Shute said. "We are only selling 1,250 tickets. I think our tagline says it all: 'A fun way to support the arts!'"
Tickets are $25 each or five for $100 and can be purchased online at www.artsandculturecda.org/raffle or at the Coeur d'Alene Convention and Visitor Bureau.

A chance find by a local librarian has opened a door to the past. The Anderson Family Bible is an ornately bound tome dating back to 1855.
