SANDPOINT — A Bonner County man has been arrested on allegations that he sexually abused a woman as she slept.

Jason Lee Bullock is charged with forcible penetration with a foreign object, a felony. He is further charged with misdemeanor sexual battery.

Bullock, 28, made an initial appearance in Bonner County Magistrate Court in late November via video link with the Bonner County Jail. A no-contact order was entered in the case.

The alleged victim said Bullock was a temporary guest in her home and she awoke to find her shorts and underwear were pulled down to her thighs. Bullock was biting her genitals and the woman told him to stop, according to a probable cause affidavit.

The incident occurred on Aug. 21.

Bullock stopped and the woman took refuge in a locked bathroom. A conversation ensued over text messaging. Bullock apologized during the exchange of text messages, which retained as evidence in the case, court records show.

Bullock said he would obtain and attorney and arrange an interview with investigators, but didn't follow through, according to the affidavit.

Forcible penetration is punishable by up to life in prison, while sexual battery at the misdemeanor level is punishable by up to a year of imprisonment.

A preliminary hearing in the case is set for Dec. 9.
