GRANT COUNTY — The Grant County Sheriff’s Office in Ephrata will be closed to the public Tuesday until further notice, as four members of the Corrections Division have tested positive for the coronavirus, according to a press release.

Close contacts of the four staff members have been notified, according to the press release. There are no reported cases among inmates, and the office closure will not impact the agency’s response to emergency or non-emergency calls for service.

Jail services will also not be otherwise impacted, said Kyle Foreman, public information officer for the Grant County Sheriff’s Office.

Support specialists who staff the administrative front office will work remotely during the office closure, according to the press release.

The public can reach administrative office staff at 509-754-2011.

Concealed pistol license renewals are still available online, though new applications remain unavailable.
