Three more COVID-19 deaths reported in Othello

OTHELLO -- The Adams County Health Department on Tuesday reported three COVID-19-related deaths of Othello residents, bringing the total coronavirus deaths in the county to 15.
All three people, including a 54-year-old woman, a 68-year-old man and a 67-year-old man, died of pneumonia and acute respiratory failure due to a COVID-19 infection, according to a press release. One of those had an underlying health condition that increased the risk of severe complications from the coronavirus.
Two died at Kadlec Regional Medical Center in Richland, while the third died at Legacy Emmanuel Medical Center in Portland, according to the release.
Adams County's COVID-19 infection rate is 1,114 per 100,000 people between Nov. 23 and Dec. 7, while its target rate is less than 25 cases per 100,000 within 14 days.
