Clyde Kingrey

Clyde Kingrey passed away on Dec. 10, 2020, at the age of 91 of natural causes. He was living at Brookdale Senior Living Center. He is survived by his brother Ike, son and daughter-in-law Jerry and Cheryl, grandchildren Travis, Ginger and Candice and great-grandchildren Russell, Mikaela and Jaxson.
He was born on April 4, 1929, in Granger, Washington, to parents Mary and Chester Kingrey. He grew up on a farm in the Yakima Valley. He had six siblings: Merele, Mary-Lou, Donny, Sam, Richard and Ike.
Clyde married the love of his life Ruby Schonewell on June 25, 1946, at Calvary Lutheran Church in Granger, Washington. There were married for 67 years until she died in 2013. They had four children together: Jean, Linda, Russell and Jerry.
Clyde made a career in the irrigation industry. They first moved to Moses Lake, Washington, in 1975, where Clyde worked at Lad Irrigation. Clyde and his brother Sam started Kingrey Irrigation in the late 1970s. Clyde left the business and later finished his career in Anaconda, Montana. After retiring, he and his wife moved to Blackfoot, Idaho, to be closer to other family before settling back in the Moses Lake area.
Clyde enjoyed the great outdoors. He loved to hunt, fish and play golf. He also loved watching sports on TV.
