Collision near Hartline injures two

HARTLINE — A two-vehicle collision on state Route 2 sent two drivers to hospitals Monday.

Kaylyn Burton, 36, of Coulee Dam, was driving a Dodge Ram northbound on Road R when she failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection with state Route 2, according to the Washington State Patrol. Her vehicle was hit by a Ford F150 driven by Darrel Parsons, 63, of Coulee City, headed west on SR-2.

Burton was taken to Grand Coulee Medical Center. Parsons was taken to Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane.

Both had been wearing seat belts. Burton faces a charge of failure to stop at a stop sign.
