Kalispell schools set calendar for 2020-21

Kalispell Public Schools finalized the 2020-21 calendar on Tuesday.

The first day of school will be Aug. 26 for first, sixth and ninth grades. Seventh- and eighth-graders and 10th- through 12th-graders start Aug. 27. The last day of school will be June 8, 2021.

There will be no school Nov. 25-27 for Thanksgiving break.

School is out for winter break Dec. 21 through Jan. 1, 2021.

Spring break will be March 22-26, 2021.

Dates to remember:

Aug. 26 — First day of school, grades first through sixth and ninth

Aug. 27 — First day of school, grades seventh through eighth and 10th through 12th

Sept. 7 — No school, Labor Day

Sept. 23 — Early release, professional development

Oct. 15-16 — No school, professional development

Oct. 21 — Early release, professional development

Oct. 30 — No school for grades kindergarten through fifth only, parent-teacher conferences

Nov. 5 — Early release, middle school parent-teacher conferences

Nov. 25-27 — Thanksgiving break

Dec. 4 — Tentative early release for speech tournament

Dec. 21-Jan. 1 — Winter break

Jan. 18 — No school, professional development

Jan. 22 — Early release, professional development (end of first semester)

Feb. 15 — No school, Presidents Day (snow makeup day if needed)

Feb. 17 — Early release, professional development

March 22-26 — Spring break

April 16 — No school, district music festival

May 19 — Early release, professional development

May 31— No school, Memorial Day

June 3 — Linderman Education Center graduation

June 4 — Flathead High School graduation

June 5 — Glacier High School graduation

June 8 — Last day of school

June 9-11— Snow makeup days if needed
