McPherson details academic honors
McPherson College, a four-year private college located in central Kansas, recognizes its highest academic achievers in its fall 2019 honor roll and honorable mention.
Among those earning a spot on the honor roll was Theodore Flint of Sagle.
To qualify for the honor roll, students must be a full-time student and earn a grade point average of 3.55 or higher during the previous term. Students earning a grade point average of 3.25 to 3.54 are named to the honorable mention.
McPherson College offers more than 20 bachelor’s and pre-professional programs with curriculum that emphasizes entrepreneurship and career-focused education. It was ranked this year by U.S. News & World Report on its “Best Colleges” list and recognized for the fifth year in a row as a “Great College to Work For” in the Chronicle of Higher Education.
Whitworth releases provost’s honor roll
The following undergraduate students have achieved provost’s honor roll status for the fall 2019 semester at Whitworth University. To be named to the list, undergraduate students must maintain a grade-point average of 3.75 or better during the semester.
Among those named to the list are Jessica Moore of Sagle and Lauren Sfeir of Sandpoint.
Located in Spokane, Wash., Whitworth is a private, liberal arts university affiliated with the Presbyterian church. The university, which has an enrollment of more than 3,000 students, offers more than 100 undergraduate and graduate degree programs.
GFU announces fall dean’s list honors
Local students were among those who earned dean’s list recognition at George Fox University for the fall 2019 semester. Traditional undergraduate students must earn a 3.5 grade point average or above on 12 or more hours of graded work to earn a spot on the dean’s list.
Among those named to the dean’s list are: Cody Knight, Sagle, senior, management; Laney Search, Sagle, senior, biology; and Claire Pierce, Sandpoint, senior, philosophy.
George Fox University is ranked by Forbes among the top Christian universities in the country and is a Christian college classified by U.S. News & World Report as a “Best National University.” More than 4,000 students attend classes on the university’s campus in Newberg, Ore., and at teaching centers in Portland, Salem and Redmond, Ore. George Fox offers bachelor’s degrees in more than 40 majors, degree-completion programs for working adults, seven seminary degrees, and 13 master’s and doctoral degrees.
