CLARK FORK — Junior Cameron Garcia and senior Josh Constantin carried Clark Fork boys basketball to its first North Star League victory this season as the Wampus Cats topped Kootenai 50-28 on Tuesday night.

Clark Fork grabbed a firm grasp on the game by outscoring the Warriors 31-13 in the second half. From there, the Wampus Cats sailed to their fourth win of the year.

“We wanted to be fundamentally sound tonight and we were successful,” head coach Heath Beason wrote in an email. “We were able to have fun and be relaxed. We’ve been in close games and couldn’t finish. Tonight things seemed to be more positive. We capitalized when we needed to and stayed consistent throughout the game.”

Garcia had 19 points and Constantin scored 20 and slammed home a dunk that was assisted by sophomore Carter San Roman, who tallied 6 points.

Beason was proud of the unselfishness his players showed throughout the night.
