SPIRIT LAKE — At this point in the season, the depth of some teams shows itself.

For Timberlake, it appears that’s the case.

Junior forward Blayre Jeffs scored a game-high 19 points for the Tigers in a 65-21 win over the Priest River Spartans in the Intermountain League finale for both schools on Tuesday at Timberlake High.

“Blayre, she had a fantastic game,” Timberlake coach Matt Miller said. “She had a lot of offensive rebounds, played great defense and ran the floor really well. She definitely had her best game of the season and did a great job tonight. We’re hoping to get everyone to be peaking as much as possible in the next three weeks.”

Timberlake (15-4, 6-0 IML) will host Priest River (4-14, 0-6) to open the 3A District 1 tournament at Timberlake High on Monday at 5:30 p.m. Kellogg (12-6, 3-2) and Bonners Ferry (8-11, 2-3) — who will face off in the second game on Monday — had their finale postponed on Tuesday in Bonners Ferry due to slick roads. That game will be played Thursday.
