MOSES LAKE — Odessa football will be the latest state champion to be honored by Big Bend Community College.

The Tigers completed an historic undefeated season, culminating in a second consecutive 1B state championship. To recognize those efforts, Big Bend Community College will have a short presentation during halftime of the men’s game to highlight Odessa’s accomplishment.

Everyone from the Odessa community gets free admission to both games; the women are scheduled to tip off at 5:30 p.m.

Big Bend women’s basketball is in a must-win situation against North Idaho to maintain slim playoff hopes. The North Idaho women are tied for third place in the NWAC East with a record of 6-3, while Big Bend is 3-7.

The Big Bend men, sitting at 2-8 in the East, are also in search of a win. Despite being ineligible for the postseason, the North Idaho men are 9-0 in the NWAC East and have won 11 straight.
