Polson Wrestling dominates at Ronan

RONAN — The Polson Pirates wrestling team won two duals at a quad meet in at Ronan High School on Saturday.
Polson beat Stevensville decisively 78-0 with four pins and a number of forfeits. The Pirate wrestlers pinned Stevensville all four times they actually faced someone on the mat.
Against Ronan, the Pirates tallied four pins in the 60-12 win over the Chiefs. They also had two wins by decision by heavyweights. The pins came from Gavin Knutson, Maysn Cowell, Kendrick Baker and Tyren Stidham.
Garret Croft, who won by decision, and Baker led Polson with 10 match points each.
Baker leads his team this season with the most match points and takedowns, 192 and 52 respectively.
Both teams will be competing in the MHSA Western A Divisional, MT this Saturday Feb. 8 at Ronan High School.
