The Bulldogs got close in both their games last week, but couldn’t squeak out a win in either.

Whitefish on Friday fell to Libby 33-32 in a tightly contested home battle.

Though Whitefish outscored Libby in two quarters of the game, it wasn’t enough to push them past the Loggers.

Sam Menicke led Whitefish with 10 points.

Then on Saturday the Dogs had the challenge of keeping up with Browning.

They fell in that one 62-56, despite leading 41-36 after three quarters.

Browning’s Riley Spoonhunter got hot in the fourth, scoring 16 of his 26 points in the fourth alone, helping lead the Indians to the late victory.

Menicke led Whitefish with 21 points, while Talon Holmquist added 12 and Jayce Cripe put in 11.

This week Whitefish will head to Columbia Falls on Friday for a 6 p.m. battle with the Wildcats.
