POST FALLS — Austin Portner (285 pounds), Raji Singh (98), Roddy Romero (106), Braxton Mason (120), Isaac Jessen (132) and Ethan Miller (152) won by pin for the Post Falls Trojans in a 52-21 win over the Lakeland Hawks on Wednesday at The Arena.

Tommy Hauser (170) and Tyler Cook (220) won by decision for Post Falls, which travels to Coeur d’Alene on Feb. 13.

“The kids wrestled awesome,” Post Falls coach Pete Reardon said. “Austin and Raji probably had the matches of the night. Austin lost in the (North Idaho Rumble), and just came out and wrestled tough. Raji went out and fought hard and got a pin. I was so proud of those two. We really have been talking about confidence and told our kids that this is the time of year you want to embrace the process, step on the gas and make that push to the end of the season.”

Ryan Quimby (160 pounds) won by technical fall, John White by major decision at 182 for Lakeland.

Alex Edelblute beat Lane Reardon by decision 5-1 at 126 pounds after Reardon claimed a win in the title match at the North Idaho Rumble last Saturday at Coeur d’Alene High.

“Alex wrestled tough,” Lakeland coach Rob Edelblute said. “All of our guys that won tonight wrestled tough. But there’s some that need to figure out they can’t give up those bonus points. We’re still shuffling our lineup to fill some holes.”
