CLARK FORK — Clark Fork girls basketball crushed Kootenai 50-14 Tuesday night to notch its second North Star League victory.

It was a dominant win from start to finish for the Lady Cats who took a 14-1 lead after the first quarter.

Clark Fork struggled a bit in the second quarter as Kootenai outscored them 7-6. But then the Lady Cats came out recharged and refocused in the second half, holding the Warriors to just 5 points in the final 16 minutes of action to cruise to a win.

Head coach Jordan Adams was proud of the effort her team showed in the second half.

“We struggled a little bit in the second quarter finishing shots,” Adams wrote. “We got in the locker room at halftime and I gave every girl one thing to work on, and we got out there in the third quarter and they executed the rest of the game.”

After being slowed down by sickness in the Lady Cats last game, senior Ellie Kiebert was back at full strength scoring 21 points and tallying 11 rebounds and eight steals.

Senior Sara Hathaway added 9 points and six steals and sophomores Caiya Yanik and Katelyn Matteson each had 8 points.

“In a league of our size, some years we don’t have the greatest basketball programs,” Adams wrote. “When we play a team that’s having that particular issue for that year, it’s almost a more difficult game to play because it is tough to play at your level versus letting it turn into sloppy basketball. But they got out there and they did not let it get sloppy, and they finished playing their game.”

The Lady Cats (7-10, 2-4 NSL) host Mullan 5:30 p.m. Thursday for senior night.

Kootenai 1 7 4 2 — 14
