Funeral services for Linda Christine Edwards will be held on Friday, February 14 at 11a.m., viewing at 10 a.m. to 10:50 a.m., at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints stake center with Bishop Mike Strock of the Sandpoint Ward presiding.

Burial will be in the Pack River Cemetery with grave dedication performed by Carl Edwards.

Ms. Edwards, 64, passed away February 5, 2020 at Bonner General Health of natural causes.

She was a lifelong resident of Sandpoint and a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Ms. Edwards began work in 1968 delivering The Spokesman Review along with her family. Given that her father, the late Anthon H. Edwards, always stressed the value of hard work, Ms. Edwards had occupations as diverse as cafeteria worker with Bonner General Hospital, various positions with Panhandle Special Needs, and as custodian with the Sandpoint bowling alley. Ms. Edwards never allowed her disabilities to keep her from an active life.

In 2018, health issues began to take their toll and she began a residency at Life Care of Sandpoint. While there, she often enjoyed playing bingo with the other residents.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthon H. and Ruth L. Edwards; and three brothers, Doyle, Leroy Jr. and Larry Edwards; and sister-in-law Joan Edwards of Martinez, California.

She is survived by brothers Carl of Roseville, California, Neal of Sandpoint, Robert of Hayden, Idaho Roger of Salt Lake City, Utah and Ronald of Sandpoint; and one sister Barbara Jean Edwards O’Neil (Bryan) of Quitman, Mississippi; also numerous nieces and nephews.

The entire family wish to express their gratitude to the staff at Life Care for the wonderful care they provided to Linda and for making her life comfortable and enjoyable.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Panhandle Animal shelter as Ms. Edwards was a great lover of cats.

Family and friends are invited to sign Linda’s online guest book at coffeltfuneral.com.

Arrangements are under the care of Coffelt Funeral Service.
