WALLACE — Clark Fork boys basketball fell to Wallace for the second time this season Tuesday night, 59-39.

Despite losing, head coach Heath Beason was proud of his team’s performance.

“Our kids played their hearts out,” he said. “The score doesn’t reflect it but we had a game plan and they executed it. [Wallace] pressed us all game and our confidence never broke.”

The Wampus Cats were able to hold their own in the first half only trailing by 6 points heading into the locker room. But the Miners took over in the third quarter, outscoring Clark Fork 20-10.

“They have a good team and we knew it was going to be hard to beat them in their house,” Beason said. “We missed a few key shots and couldn’t recover.

Josh Constantin led the team with 13 points, Carter San Roman had 10 and Cameron Garcia and Cole Reuter each added 6.

The Wampus Cats (5-12, 2-5 NSL) host Lakeside at 7 p.m. next Tuesday in their final regular season game.
