Things weren’t so bright on Shady Lane when a man was reportedly seen driving up to a residence, getting out and smashing a glass flower vase on the front porch.

A woman on Columbia Meadows Drive in Columbia Falls allegedly told Flathead County Sheriff’s Office she needed her ex-fiance out of her house because he threw his beer at her, hitting her in the face, and was passed out in the bedroom.

Four teens allegedly hit a goat in the head, threw a rock at a propane tank, went through storage units and cursed at a woman’s husband while he locked up the units. The “very angry” woman called deputies from Stoner Creek Road in Lakeside to complain, but was unable to provide a description of the youths. Deputies made contact with the boys, who reportedly admitted to throwing items at the tank and throwing soda cans onto the street.

Someone on Nucleus Avenue in Columbia Falls purportedly saw a 2-year-old unbuckled in the front seat of a vehicle, an infant in a carrier placed on the center console and a driver not wearing her seatbelt.

A man allegedly called deputies to report he was approached by a “very threatening” man wearing a “tactical vest,” who walked up to him with a shotgun showing and told him he couldn’t shoot at a particular location. The caller was reportedly certain he was on Forest Service land. The caller added that he had video of the man. Although the caller felt threatened by the man’s appearance, it appeared no crime had occurred and deputies advised the man to check with Forest Service for any restrictions in the area before shooting there again. They also attempted to find current contact information for the threatening man, but were unsuccessful.

People were reportedly going around and around a parking lot on Kila Road like it was a race track. The person calling in the report said they and were acting crazy and were probably drunk.

A dog was purportedly barking for 1.5 hours and could be heard by dispatchers on a call that came in on Douglas Drive in Kalispell. Officers met with the caller, who reportedly had not kept a bark log as requested and was told they must keep one “even if the dog is only barking on weekends.” The dog owner was advised of the complaint and told to make sure the dog wasn’t “unduly barking.”

Two sets of footprints were allegedly found leading toward a River Drive residence in Hungry Horse where a very large generator had been pushed across the yard and stashed behind a shed. Officers found the door of the residence unlocked and a sliding basement window opened. The window was secured and home locked. It was unknown if anything was stolen.

Someone calling from Central Avenue in Martin City reportedly heard puppies crying from a cabin cruiser boat, where officers found the puppies with their mother.

A Conrad Drive resident could reportedly hear two men yelling at each other on Woodland Park Drive and couldn’t tell what they were yelling about. When things quieted down, the resident said that didn’t mean anything was better.
