Lady Cats wrap up regular season with win

HARRISON FLATS — Senior Ellie Kiebert had 17 points and 13 rebounds to help Clark Fork girls basketball beat Kootenai 35-18 Saturday in their regular season finale.
The No. 2 seed Lady Cats (9-10, 4-4 NSL) take on No. 3 Genesis Prep in the 1A Division II District 1 tournament at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at North Idaho College. The winner advances to the district championship game at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.
Clark Fork started the game slow but once they found a rhythm the Warriors couldn’t keep up.
The victory completed a season sweep of Kootenai.
Senior Sara Hathaway added 11 points for the Lady Cats.

The Bulldogs recovered from a rough opening quarter to down the Hawks 48-37 and split the regular season series between the two Inland Empire League foes. The victory also puts Sandpoint in the driver's seat to grab the No. 1 seed to the 4A Region 1 tournament.
