SANDPOINT — These days, love is in the App Store.

According to Statista, 47 percent of online users have met, or know someone who has, met a romantic partner on a dating website or app last year. And the most popular place to “swipe right” to find your true love? Tinder with 15.83 million people connecting through the app in the past six months, according to data generated through the Kochava Collective, the world's largest independent mobile data marketplace.

In distant second was Happn with 5.64 million users followed by Meet Me with 2.08 million users, Plenty of Fish with 1.33 million and bumble with 765,000.

In announcing the data, Kochava officials said they were inspired to analyze the data to see what apps were the most popular because so many relationships do get their start online, be it a web service or app. Statistics show over 25 million people regularly use dating apps and that number continues to grow year over year.

Kochava, the leading mobile data attribution platform and host of the largest independent mobile data marketplace, the Kochava Collective, has compiled stats on the Top 5 Dating Apps over the last six months. So, whether you're single and ready to mingle or looking for true love, here are the top apps to download:

The data showed Tinder users were predominantly male with 74.32 percent, 25.47 female, and 0.21 identifying as other. Users were evenly split by age groups with those 18-25 making 18.79% of the users, ages 26-35,19.37%; ages 36-45, 15.47%; ages 46-55, 18.19%; age 56-65, 16.73%; ages 66-80, 5.03%; and 80 and above, 6.42%;

The data showed that 72.96% of Happn users were male, 26.78% female and 0.26% other. The largest percentage of users were 46-55 years old at 21.5%, followed by 56-65, 20.83%; 36-45,18.91%; 26-35, 16.13%; 80 and above, 10.79%; 66-80, 6.19% and 18-25, 5.65%.

The gender split was closer on Meet Me where 57.72% of users were male, 42.16% female and 0.12% identifying as other. The largest percentage of users were between 46 to 55 years old at 20.54%; followed by 56-65, 19.15%; 36-45, 17.79%; 80-plus, 15.11%; 26-35, 14.35%; 18-25, 9.73%; and 66-80, 3.33%.

On Plenty of Fish, men made up 69.25% of the users with women making up 30.51% and those identifying as other making up 30.51%. The age group with the most users were between 26-35 with 36.41%; followed by 18-25, 19.50%; 36-45, 15.06%; 46-55, 11.74%; 56-65, 8.87%; 66-80, 4.62%; and 80-plus, 3.79%.

On Bumble, men made up 74.73% of users, women at 25.14%, and those identifying as other at 0.14%. The age group with the largest percentage of users were between 18 to 25 years old at 35.83%, followed by 26-35, 25.70%; 46-55, 12.78%; 36-45 10.87%; 56-65, 7.78%; 66-80, 4.11%; and those 80 and above 2.94%.

The information about which dating apps are the most popular was generated by analyzing data collected as part of the Kochava Collective, the largest independent mobile data marketplace with over 7 billion connected devices.
