Double-double by Eborall paces Cardinal women

- WOMEN

PENDELTON, Ore. — Halle Eborall, a sophomore from Lake City High, finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds as North Idaho College beat the Blue Mountain Timberwolves 82-53 in Northwest Athletic Conference play on Saturday afternoon.

With the win, NIC (14-10, 8-5 NWAC) holds a two-game lead against Treasure Valley (12-10, 6-7) for the fourth and final playoff spot in the East Region with three games remaining.

Sophomore Sydnie Peterson scored 14 points for NIC, which finished 10 for 26 from the 3-point line.

Brooke Wheeler had 12 points and 16 rebounds for Blue Mountain (3-21, 1-12).

NIC faces the Community Colleges of Spokane on Wednesday at Spokane Falls Community College starting at 5:30 p.m.

PENDELTON, Ore. — Sophomore Jaden Dewar scored 26 points off the bench — finishing 11 of 13 from the field — for the Cardinals in a Northwest Athletic Conference romp over the Timberwolves.

Sophomore Nate Pryor had 24 points and Emmit Taylor III scored 17 points in a reserve role for East Region-leading NIC (25-1, 13-0 NWAC), which faces the second-place Community Colleges of Spokane (22-5, 12-2) on Wednesday night at Spokane Falls Community College starting at 7:30. CCS lost 78-76 to Wenatchee Valley on Saturday.

Shaw Broncheau had 14 points, five rebounds and six assists for Blue Mountain (5-21, 1-12).
