YAKIMA — The Tigers’ season came to end Tuesday night at the SunDome in Yakima as Prosser moved on in the District 5/6 tournament 75-52. Kyle Hendrick led the Tigers with 11 points, while senior Lakota Lange finished with eight.

Ephrata head coach Brandon Evenson said it was “a weird game” for his team, where the Tigers just couldn’t build any rhythm on either end of the floor. Evenson said they just came out flat at the wrong time of the season. The Tigers finished the regular season in third in the CWAC.

Wenatchee 72, Moses Lake 52

WENATCHEE — The Chiefs managed to trim the lead to 14 in the second half, but the Panthers were firing on all cylinders in the postseason opener for both teams and won 72-52.

Moses Lake head coach Jake Hunt said he thought the defense was solid, but they simply weren’t able to find the bottom of the net. Cayden Hart led Moses Lake with 14, while sophomore Marshall Tibbs finished with 11. Senior Kyle Karstetter finished with nine in his final game for the Chiefs.

Hunt said he was proud of both his young guys and the five seniors that have been with the program for four years. With his first full summer as head coach to prepare, the Chiefs head coach said they’ll “just keep building” on the foundation from this season.
