School district seeks stadium light bids

PRIEST RIVER — The West Bonner County School District is seeking bids for new stadium lighting and poles at Priest River Lamanna High School.

Bids must be submitted on or before 1 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 26, to Jennifer Anselmo, WBCSD board clerk/treasurer. Bids will be opened that same date at 1 p.m. Any bids received after that date and time will not be considered.

The outside of the bid envelope must include the type of bid submitted and be labeled “Football Stadium Lighting.” The board reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids and waive any irregularities which is deemed to be in the best interest of the school district.

The project is part of the $256,200 in contingency funds set aside by the district in its 2019-’20 budget for a series of capital improvement projects. Of that, $160,000 is set aside for the lighting project at the high school football stadium, because it has become a safety issue as the poles are about to fall over. The track will be damaged during replacement, so that will be refinished as well, school district officials said.
