Chiropractic, yoga businesses open
Soul Movement Chiropractic and The Path Hot Yoga have recently opened at 118 N. Seventh St., Suite B10. The two businesses work closely together to offer unique services and events related to health and wellness to the Coeur d’Alene community.
The Path Hot Yoga Studio is focused on providing a safe and energizing experience for all levels of experience, hosting four types of classes: Vinyasa Hot Flow, Bikram-inspired Hot Hath, restorative Yin and Buti. Classes are offered seven days a week. Monthly health-inspired workshops and retreats are also offered.
Owner and founder Nicole Rainey attended her first Bikram Yoga training (500 hours) in 2003. In 2006, she shifted to a more spiritual approach to yoga with the practice of Bhakti (devotional) Yoga.
Rainey is the previous owner and operator of Midtown Juniper Yoga, located in Bend, Ore. She has evolved from a yoga instructor to an entrepreneur, team leader and international yoga retreat leader. She intends to continue to offer mentorships and continuing education for Coeur d’Alene’s growing yoga community.
Dr. Bonita Hazel of Soul Movement began her chiropractic journey when she was six weeks old. As an infant she cried so frequently that her mother decided to take her to a chiropractor after hearing it could help. Within seconds of her first chiropractic adjustment she stopped crying and fell asleep.
After receiving her bachelor’s degree in psychology, Hazel moved from Michigan to Atlanta to attend Life University and receive her chiropractic degree. Hazel also studied craniosacral work, reiki, myofascial release techniques, energy healing and yoga.
She opened her own practice in September 2019 with the intention of helping people heal physically, emotionally and spiritually. Each adjustment is completely unique to the individual and each focuses on deep breathing, light movement and gentle touch. She works with babies, children and adults, and even offers chiropractic adjustments for dogs. Hazel is currently the sole employee at Soul Movement.
