Vicki Lee Lyons, 73
Daily Inter-Lake | UPDATED 4 years, 11 months AGO
Vicki Lee Lyons, 73, entered the loving arms of our heavenly father on Feb. 18, 2020, surrounded by her loving husband and five daughters praying and holding her as she passed away peacefully.
She was born Dec. 12, 1946, in Kalispell. Vicki was the third child to James Hill and Geneva Vestre. She graduated from Flathead High School in 1965.
Aug. 20, 1965, she married the love of her life, high school sweetheart, and soulmate David Lyons. They welcomed five beautiful daughters to their family. In 1976 they moved to Eureka and opened Western Building Center. Vicki did the books for Western Building Center in Eureka until her and David both retired in 2008.
Vicki guided us through life with love, compassion and generosity. She was the perfect wife and mother. She had a heart of gold with so much love to give. She taught us all so much from loving your spouse of 54 years to cooking the perfect meals. Her family was the center of her life, and loved preparing meals and bringing her family together. Anyone that knew her would say her personality and smile was contagious. Her home was always open and she would make sure you knew it. She loved taking drives, going to the family cabin, going on picnics, working in her flower beds, knitting and crocheting. Anything that involved her husband, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was where you would find her. She also enjoyed spending time visiting and playing cards with friends and family.
Vicki is survived by her husband, David L. Lyons; her five daughters, twins Lisa Peterson (Ricky), Laura Burk (Stan), Wendy Williams (Greg), Kim Allen (Gregg), and Sara Lyons (Seth); her 12 grandchildren, Tanner (Mandi), Dillon (Brianna), Jordan, Tyler (Katelyn), Gina, Jarrett, Kayla (CJ), Tiffany (Brent), Carli (Grady), Read, Braiden and Trista; her 12 great-grandchildren, Carter, Blayne, Gavin, Wyatt, Adam, Jesse, Kylee, Corbyn, Kasen, Kimber, Ryder and Rayce; her siblings, Tim Hill (Debby), Joy Fraleigh, Wally Hill and Mary Hill; numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, as well as her Aunt Mabel Caldwell and Uncle Vern Hill (Phyllis).
She was preceded in death by her mother Geneva Bowman Vestre, her father James W. Hill, in-laws Bill and Irene Lyons, brother James Hill, grandmothers Gertie Lang and Mary Etta Hill, granddaughter Tia Marie, and great-granddaughter Saydee Lee.
Services will be held at Eureka Church of God, behind the First Interstate Bank on Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 11 a.m. with graveside services immediately after. Please join us for a reception in the basement of the Eureka Church of God following the services.
